EVENT- Don Quixote's Lost Treasure.

It just so happens that I know the location of Don Quixote's box of gems valued at 51,144gp. Instead of claiming this treasure for myself, I'd like to have some fun with some of my server mates. Wednesday night at 7pm EST I'll be at West Britt bank gating people to my house. Bring a check for 5k. After we've got enough people, I'll gate to the town where the box is, just sitting around. Ya'll get to rat race around and try to find it. There will also be 2 boxes with 5k checks in em for two lucky people that get their money back.

TLDR - Race for 50k in gems. 5k entrance fee. Prizes will be laying around a random town, first to pick it up keeps it. Wednesday night, signups start at 7pm EST.

You know that Chumbucket is going to be all over this, right? Be careful what box you open, because you will end up seeing stars instead of star sapphires! (I know, cheap joke, had to do it)

The winner will know when he's found the right box.

Imo best to hide books around w/ the prize info in it & a code only you know. Otherwise why entrance fee can be easily avoided if someone randomly picks the treasure up -- unless thats what you were aiming for

I like that, there will be a winning book somewhere. Winner gives me the book to claim the prize. Also makes it harder since theres alot of books layin around.

I really think this event would be a lot more fun if you put the loot in a box. :(

Thanks for the event Abby. It was a lot of fun despite some foul play from [!!!]. I actually started out by looking in bookcases and boxes. Then I kept crtl+shift'ing and checking all the books that popped up. Lo and behold a little brown book outside the smithy caught my bard Haijn's eye. Don Quixote revealed himself yelling "Winner!", and after a gate back to his patio I became the owner of a true treasure box :)

I like these player run events a lot. Hopefully the next one draws some more attention. thanks again abby!
