UO Second Age

Whats the deal with Vet? Its taking an incredible amount of time to gain... at 94.9 it took 500+ bandages to get to 95.0.

Should I be curing poison on animals or is this just the way it goes? Does it matter how much I am healing or is it just the amount of times I actually heal an animal.

Any assistance would be nice... Thanks yous.

Vet is a pain in the ass but what I did was just put 2 dragons attacking each other that are 1 tile away so they are only doing spells. Eventually they will begin casting poison most of the time and you will be healing both of them a lot.

Train 2 dragons + gain vet.

Ahh okay... yeah, that might be better. I was using just 2 great harts attacking each other. But, perhaps the creature you are healing might make a difference.

You had to continually feed them as well, or no?

It can be really annoying but this works. My macro had a for loop of 10 healing the polar bear every 7 seconds then healing the scorpion once. Still, the polar bear can easily die because it is being constantly poisoned. Non-attentiveness led to my death at one point. Still, the gains are there. Slow, but there.

What about telling the polar bear to stay? Wouldn't that stop the polar bear attacking? Well, until the next patch, at least

Didn't derrick say at some point that veterinary just gains by use rather than by difficulty?

Took me forever to gm vet. I tried doing 2 snakes and shit and it was still slow.

vet gains are related to the damage healed

healing every 10 seconds yields minimal gains due to only healing a small amount of damage..

i would try curing poison to 100

I GM'ed vet having 3 polar bear attacking each other in a circle, or triangle rather. Healing every 7-8 seconds. It took forever so be prepared to spend a lot of time collecting bandages.

Better yet, don't even bother Gming vet. Just heal your pets when you farm and gain randomly. You'll make tons of money to buy bandages and whatever you need. I never bothered GMing it and made millions in the process.
