I get it, go grey get attacked then have 20 WW's eat you up. coolbeans. How about a more Era Accuracy of only being able to control up to 3 pets at a time. What only 3 WW plus your Mage/Hally combo isnt enough? aww How about 1 pet dragon at a time. I think its so retarded how Tamers are over powered. Ya it takes a long time to get but there needs to be a way to even out the field. Limit stabling to only 3 large pets at a time with infinite control over pets so when tamers go fight they can only pull 3 pets out of stable to help fight for them not a damn army. its lame

I saw someone at Brit GY massive gating a lot of white wyrms I was also wondering how the control slots were divided up - I definitely can't remember this being the way it was in OSI T2A. But that is only my memory and it may be in-accurate.

T2A on OSI never had control slots, you could have 1000s of animals under your control if you didnt lose conn.

Next patch has a fix for this "guard" bug that allows tamers to cheat like this.
Upcomming Patch Note wrote: * Creatures which are guarding players or other pets no longer respond to aggressor history, but respond strictly to actions which take place while the pet/hire is actively guarding.
Read the patch notes!!!

If you claim control slots was in T2A, you should have your posting privileges revoked from the Suggestions & Era Accuracy forum.

I, being the one who sorta pushed this OUTRAGEOUS NO SKILL KILLFEST to the point it's at, am glad this is happening. It was too overpowerd. Even more than archer bots.
Unfortunately- this patch won't stop the wyrm bombings. It'll hinder some slightly. Only fix I truly see working for the server is: Going out of era accuracy and making all guard me work on only one pet (closest, i.e- the all kill command.) Tamers have always been OP compared to others. It's just the way it is. Just like folks with a good connection hardly die to those with a bad one. *shrugs*
Gonna be doing a lot of testing and see if I can't help with figuring out a way to stop the mass wyrm/drag/imp/mage/npc in general gates. Maybe we can find a solution.
But hey! Aren't we all glad that I made this so public? That way it could be patched with haste? =) I had a lot of laughs doing it. And I've gained sooo many enemies because of it. UO life is great.

Oh very neat link Derrick, im going to go over the pictures and see if i can find anything.
For example :

Lich NPC's were red flaged?
Trolls too it seems :

Left a grey corpse though :

Bladespirits were Grey, and why is a Balron in the LL room? :

Vendors Did indeed show the invun tag but it looks like they were Grey and not Blue. Mabey this made tracking easier to use? easier to tell real blues from Vendors.

What is with the Odd guild names? You see it through most of the pictures, many have Full names and not 3 letter abreviations.

After you all guard, why do all 20+ wws follow you in gate?
Shouldn't many refuse to follow?

There are a lot of pre-t2a pictures from Dragon X's screenshots... That particular era used red names for harmful creatures, grey names for non-harmful creatures, and blue names for friendlys, aka the noto system.
All invulnerable creatures were pretty much grey besides shopkeepers at one point in time. GM characters or any staff character for that matter were grey even too. I'm not quite sure when this was changed for player vendors exactly but it did somewhere.
The Balron was gated to the Lich Lord Room.
Also, guilds way back didn't have abbreviations either at one point in time... People would tag guild abbreviations inside the player guild titles. A good example is the Lords of the Dead(Lotd) guild on Baja that used the guild title setup even after the abbreviations feature was introduced into the game in '98.
The Dragon X screenshots are a great source but you have to becareful when depicting between the two eras since both pre-t2a and t2a are in the mix up. However, this really isn't a very hard task if you know the pre-t2a era pretty good...

all guard is like all kill, in the sense that they will follow you or guarded target
if they command fails, obviously the animal will not follow.
