From what I remember anything [Blessed] Will stay with you when you die, red or blue, BUT anything newbified (starting gear, house deeds, etc) will not stay on your body if you die as a red

That is exactly how it was and how it is here.

I dont know if this is implimented here or not (my guess is no, but who knows for sure).
During T2A I had a blessed vanq longspear, and on two occasions I died while dragging it and it fell to the ground.

This is true. Items being held should fall to the ground. Prior to OSI adding that, you could "save' 1 item by holding it with the mouse when you died.

I would also like to add that blessed crap SHOULD break from damage.
We have a 1 second delay, mount fatigue, an "all follow me" exploit, and the big pro-statement for these was era-accuracy. So there really should be no denying this one. Stuff seemed to break pretty quick to, I used to undress v. macers in era.

Where does it say this? I saw a t2a patch note mentioned something about blessed items taking damage, but that says nothing about whether they break or not. As far as I know, blessed items here
do take damage, they just don't break.

* Selecting the clothing bless deed will place a deed in your backpack.
* The deed can be used on any article of clothing (such as tunics, boots, hats, etc.)
* After double-clicking the deed, target an article of clothing. Once targeted, the clothing will become blessed (meaning it cannot be stolen or looted).
* Blessed clothing can still take damage (from maces for example).
Just because it says "[blessed clothing] can still take damage", and does not say "and will break", does not mean that blessed clothing will not break.
Several UOSA-player accounts detailing the breaking of blessed items can be viewed here..

Not that I would trust anything 1/2 of you guys say, but the evidence is significant.

I don't know how credible those forum posts are. How many people had BLESSED not newbified items in 2000? No one I knew personally. People are talking about destroying blessed thigh boots etc. Why would anyone bless thigh boots?

A guy I knew IRL blessed black thigh boots on Baja. Dumb, yes, but he didn't know any better.

Okay, the function of the bless deed is laid out very clear in the UO patch note.

You cannot argue that blessed items would function different than regular items.
People blessed clothing in t2a, clothing deeds were very common. It was not uncommon to see people wearing whole suits of gm-made blessed clothing. Not super-rich people mind you, just established players.
Thigh boots actually make more sense to bless than sandals, they give you more armor.
