Large paintings + perhaps other paintings

I seem to recall paintings changing direction when you moved them around.

It made them very hard to place, and it was best achieved by putting the painting into a box, smashing the box and locking down the painting.

At the moment there is no way to get an east/west large painting?

Interesting. I don't recall this myself one way or the other but it's certainly doable if true.

I'll try to find something to hang your hat on then.

I'm pretty sure paintings did not change directions like most furniture does.

I say that because I remember when the house decorating tools came out, using the rotate feature could turn certain paintings into another one. I remember one painting that was originally a lot more rare than the others being created by rotating a relatively common painting. I thought it was the lady in the green dress painting, but that doesn't appear to be rare at all on this shard.

It may be that paintings which are identical in both directions did rotate on their own, however I am pretty sure there are at least a few paintings with only one direction.

Paintings were not flippable until the decorator tool became available.

It was the lady in the red dress that was rare, not the green one.

This is shown here on uorares, even though the pictures don't load:

Once the decorator tools went in paintings could be flipped, which changed the colors on some paintings. Thus making the red painting a common item.

I remember this because I had one in my house that was worth about 6 million 1 day, and about nothing the next.

Its a strange thing with hanging armour is why I bring it up that it may be bugged.
When it is first found you can hang it on any wall. But once its hung it will hang that way forever?
