Why does magery only do 1hp damage to animals in town?
Is this t2a accurate?
I don't remember not being able to kill "cats" in town with flamestrike.
Maybe I was too noob when this was around...

This is a question that hasn't been raised, and I don't recall. Our understanding is that in town all spells do 1hp damage. I'm not/wasn't aware of an animal exclusion to this, and have seen anything anywhere that would indicate it but I certainly wouldn't rule it out. This warrants more research, thanks.

I have taken a look at the patch notes regarding spell damage in town, and these are the notes which reference spell damage:
10/29/97
- Directly damaging spells cast at players in towns will do minimal damage.
12/16/97
- Friendly humans in town (shopkeepers, etc) do not take damage from spells in town now.
It seems that the notes were fairly specific about what could be affected by spell damage in town. Essentially all players, and friendly human NPCs.

Thanks for the prompt and indisputable research. I'll make this change right away.

Thanks.
Another thing that I am pretty sure is inaccurate is how you can open your spellbook while being hidden. I remember opening the spellbook and always having to hide again.

That is something I don't recall. It is also the kind of action that dosen't really make much sense either. Using an item on something (such as double clicking a dagger or other weapon) didn't reveal you. Spellbooks were, from what I can recall, the same way.
