The new version of this message changed way after UOR to something like "You must wait to recover from casting.". However, we do know that message was on the lines of "You must wait for your last spell to take effect." for the recast delay. The message contents itself can be stripped from the system message data file in the UO directory for precision. We have not been able to confirm if this existed during the t2a era but this is the first piece of evidence to suggest that it did in fact exist.

I agree, I remember that message. It appears the the message was simply replaced, there is no trace of the old message in the modern client :/

Spell casting messages wrote: You are already casting a spell.
You cannot cast a spell while frozen
You have not yet recovered from casting a spell
Target cannot be seen
Target is too far away
You cannot cast that on yourself

What about old RunUO posts that used it when it still existed?

That could actually be a good source for Kaivan's 0.5s recast delay since it was before the first time it was ever changed during AOS too...

Also, there is a Dragon X pic from the chessy photo archive somewhere with the message being displayed...

funny, this was changed to:
DictText.Add(502644, "You have not yet recovered from casting a spell.");
in the modern cliloc

I'll change it, but i still use the localized message when i can, so it will be client dependant in some instances.
