i buy a gm made wodden chest and i try to lockpick it
but skill doesn't gain
my lockpick skill starts at 50
how cna i gain it to GM ?

Make a new character with 50 tinkering and 50 carpentry and make a box. This should get your lockpicking high enough (76, I think) to use the GM box.

yea 50/50 made tinker box to 74 (76? whatever point it stops gaining), then gm made box to 95, level 4 dungeon chests to gm

Had other skills to start with so began lockpicking with 0 and NPC trained.

Then I did this:

- Made a tinker with 1 tinkering and 50 carp.
- Made a 1 skill box with key
- macro til gains slow

- Trained tinkering at NPC
- Made a x skill box with key
- macro til gains slow

- Made a second tinkering char with 50 tink, 50 carp
- Made a 50 skill box with key
- macro til gains slow

- Got a 75 tinkering skill box with key made
- macro til gains slow

- Got a GM tinkering skill box with key made
- Worked this boxes til 95 real skill

- hit the level 4 chests til I GM'd it.

Wasn't very fun but I don't plan to have 2 lockpickers.

And yeah, keep dex low and wear plate gloves? I don't know the realities of what difference it makes but I'll do anything to make it seem faster anyway hehehe

just means when you hit 95 you have higher real skill, i think theres a .1 or .2 difference
