I saw your other message about asking to buy a small house deed for 1/3 of the price. But I didn't respond. Now your asking if anyone is quitting but instead of asking for them to give everything to you, you just want the staffs in particular. lol

Really, if he was serious....this is the most non-greedy "can i have your stuff" post i have ever seen.

I'm quitting and giving all my stuff away. No staffs though. However, gold can be exchanged for goods and services, and there's plenty of that.

I'm quitting.. but I'm going to throw all my stuff into a house and let it decay. Whoever finds it wins!

Looks to me because the server is 30% game play and 70% political bs. A friend told me after he quit like a week after we joined this server..." this isn't anything like UO, not enough people to make it worth playing , they are all sitting in IRC talking Sh#* and not playing". He sheep farmed in his tower to keep busy in game until he found some other game to play.

The actual player base sometimes just seems like it's the same people and never anyone new. Even when we get new people , they are being trained to play alone due to our unattended macro allowance. You may never see them again unless they need you on the trade area of the forums.

UO Evolved past T2A to allow for group activity (see guild chat/party chat/ champions). Those were the things EVERYONE cried out for because UO as just a pvp hot spot was getting stale and empty. Anything you can do in this game is totally solo-able now and as an online game...that's bad...it's a game killer.

I have to admit whilst the current community behaviour is not true UO and represents nothing of the second age era we knew and loved, we need to accept how online gaming has evolved these days. Regardless of the shard, the ruleset or the community, this will always happen.

To be honest I prefer the UO:R ruleset, I even enjoyed powerscrolls. Finally there was something worth fighting for and you needed to work together to get there.

I see what you mean GuardianKnight and I'm slowly getting the impression that this shard isn't as massive as it seems at first glance with every man and his dog having a metric ass ton of alt characters. I do however think this is the best option we have, and I don't necessarily think that means we're compromising as this place is still the best out there by leaps and bounds.

The other major issue is that nothing is new. We all know the best ways to skill, how to kill monsters, we've explored every tile in the game... nothing is new to us anymore, so it takes a lot of the fun and adventure out of it.
