I have made a new account and downloaded the SA client but I am stuck at verifying account.

Do I need to have my account activated in some way?

Hello!

It should work right off the bat. When you login for the first time you register it via an In-Game command if I remember correctly.
Are you sure you've entered all the information in Razor correctly? Do a double check and have the nice post with pictures about connecting up in the background.

Are you using Windows Vista or Windows 7?
