Trying to macro combat skills

Hello, I am new to shard and would like to macro my combat skills. I do not have a house. Is it possible to hire an npc and attack him without him attacking me back that way I can just worry about healing him? If so, how? Also, can I do this in town successfully? (as opposed to doing it in a house which I dont have)
