#secondagetrade is starting to pick up steam. People are a selling and buying much easier now that they can actually discuss what they are selling. No one can scam you without getting banned in irc if you use the channel.

Did you know that you can be kicked or banned for continually spamming The main irc channel with trade threads?

Just come on down to #secondagetrade and get a good deal.

Although I agree with matron; if we had the good old bank/market area like in the old days; it would be great. Having to deal with this off-game stuff is annoying and counter-productive to player numbers and quality of gameplay.

But, I can see this may be a step towards the better; if we can move the traffic from this static forum to IRC, things may be going in the right direction.

Trade forums and irc rooms are more era accurate than fast computers and connection speeds.

I will join so I can get rid of these full spellbooks I got. I'd rather sell them fast and cheap for 2-3k but people always think its a scam.

Not Era Accurate!

You never got kicked off the UO.com (or stratics for that matter) forums due to in-game activity. Players just blacklisted your name. I know you are going to say, "well tradespot blah blah..", to which I might reply that I robbed people blind on tradespot non stop without any hitch, but I do know of one person banned from there for scamming, so let's assume tradespot banned you for it. The difference is, tradespot is not the official forum linked to the game where other discussions take place. If you get banned from uosecondage.com you miss out on a great deal of information, it's not worth the risk. Anyone can just scam you, and then change their IP or whatever to avoid the ban anyway, it's just perpetuating more rule breaking.

Matron the obvious solution to your problem is to make all your scams a bit more complex and ofc you need to start lying on forums when they accuse you so it doesn't lead anywhere.
