I'm new.

SO yeah should I mule (mine/craft) first or ... make a gold mule (charmy/provoke) for my mules? I've read just about everything I've seen on the subject and nobody really spells out which set you should do first.

So yeah, thanks.

It's all about preference. Mining/lumber can start making money essentially right away while a bard takes a bit of legwork(macroing.)

i haven't really had much luck barding (though i'm very n00bish and only try destard) but the mining is fairly pleasant and while i mine i run through with my dexx'r and raise tact/fencing/etc to pass the time. i started with 50BS/50TINK so i can make shovels as i go. not too shabby in the $$ department either

Hmm well my crafter got about 150 ingots ripped off by some guy named Aqsh? or something in Minoc... whereas my Pure fighter happened to watch 4 horsemen swiss cheese a thief in the sewers and I got a fair share of the loot.. so .. there you go Karma suucks.

Is bone armor any good? I assume it's just un-repairable .. irreparable?

Bone armor has great defense when in full repair, on par with full plate armor but without the dexterity loss, but you are correct in assuming it cannot be repaired. Early in the game when you have yet to create a crafter or become friends with someone who has one, and also have no characters with maxed out stats or lots of magic gear, i think bone armor is one of the best ways to go, as you can easily farm yourself a whole suit easily by fighting skeletons, which you can usually kill even with a fresh new character. Later on when you have access to exceptionally crafted armors and more magic gear, you will probably wear less of it.

Though this is just my opinion, though - and from a guy who is a lot less hardcore into the game than a lot of the others here on the forums, heh.
