UO Second Age

I wasn't aware of anyone massing escorts so easily back in the day. Seems fairly easy now. When it's as profitable as dungeon crawling with no risk and all reward it might ruin the economy/gameplay later down the line. I've farmed for everything I made so far, but just started the "I will take thee" bandwagon since its extremely easy once you get a runebook setup.

In the attached image I think there are 16 there giving roughly 400 gold each. 6400 gold with no risk and kinda fast.

I did it all the time on OSI, the thing was OSI had ALOT more people so escorts weren't quite as available as they are here. I remember logging on right after server reset, theyd all spawn after 10-15 minutes and Id be the only person doing them, was nuts!

I know people did it on OSI, but I'm thinking the right mindset is there to have this in place just that it's a little too much

The funny part about it is that this looks kind of like what it did on OSI. Not quite as tightly packed as they are here, but the number is actually fairly close to what I remember seeing in places like Cove and Ocollo.

couldnt you only have 1 escort at time? meaning if you had an escort and tried to say "i will take thee" to another didnt it not let you until you finished the first one? I didnt do it alot back in on preUOR osi but thought that was the case... and they really gave you 400gp?

I think they upped the gold from escorts but put a 1 escort limit on you later on

Aye, and also added a delay between escorts. I've yet to get this mornings patch notes up, but gold from escorting has been cut somewhat this morning.

Not only does his miner house get targetted by pkers, thieves and looters, but now his safe little escorting world is coming crumbling down!

Mass escorting was common in era. the changes we've made are to payment only and have been relatively reasonable.

Escorts needed to be changed.

I was in cove the other day and saw someone with a train of at least 10 escorts.

hopefully you didnt change the escorts too much :p era accuracy and all
