UO Second Age

Hello,

I'm new to the server, my toon is Kellyn.

Anyways...

I've been building my stats up, and I find myself stuck... I'm currently:

STR:100
DEX:99
INT:25


My DEX will NOOOOT budge whatsoever and hasn't budged for HOURS.

I've practically GM'd every skill that's supposed to raise it...


Anyone know what's going on or what I'm doing wrong?

i'm pretty sure you only get stat gains at the same time as skill gains, so if you're trying to gain dex using a skill that is near gm, the gains will be slooow.

Nah, you can get stat gains w/o skill gains.

And I'm still getting skill gains in stuff.

DEX just won't get that last point, I think I'm bugged or something, idk...

Please... I need help...

I've already maxed stats on another character while waiting for this ONE point in Dexterity....

Yea, unless the skill gain just didn't show.

But that's NOT the point...

It's literally NOT moving, and hasn't moved for SEVERAL HOURS. That's NOT right, that's BROKEN, period... I've played UO for 7 years...

but you havent played this server for very long have you?

i'm nearly 100% sure you need skill gains for stat gains. if the skill gains come slow then so will the stat gains.

Sorry if this is too simple - Is your character wearing a plate gorget?

It just looks like that with the 100/99/25, that's all. They drop your DEX by a point.

I'm almost sure marm is right, the issue is skill gain. You need to gain a bit to increase skill, or at least have room to gain with the arrow pointing up. If the arrow of the skill you're using is pointing down or locked = no gain.

If you gridlock skill gains (all skills up) you can gain stats but not skills

However marm is right, you will not gain stat unless you gain skill. You can still gain stats if ur gm, but the chances are much lower than at 0, so why not snoop?

I managed to get that last point, lol. Looks like I already had it.. I was macroing naked when someone PK'd me. The moment I died, it showed 100 DEX.

And no, I wasn't wearing a plate gorget.

Dunno what happened, but it happened lol

I have the same problem with STR, i'm stuck at 97 by using herding... got 4 points left from the cap.


Any idea?

Jill Stihl thanks for the tip. I was wearing a plate gorget and didn't realize it brought dex down by -1. I couldn't figure out why my dex wouldn't go to 100. I took it off and sure enough, hit 100.

Try camping. Get an axe, chop down a couple of trees, and turn those logs into kindling. You'll get those last 3 points in less than 10 minutes.
