Armor Sleeves Reduce Armor When Worn

I noticed that when wearing a full archer suit my armor is 28. When I take the ringmail sleeves off my armor is 29. Same goes with other types of sleeves too, it seems as though they decrease armor instead of increasing it. Just letting you know.
