Dec 22, 1999 shows that there was a bug regarding gaining resist with a blade spirit without taking damage. I'm not familiar with this bug, but I was wondering if someone knew something more about it.

That was the Z-axis exploit bug that was mainly used on tower wings. This patch note has never really made much sense to me since you definitely did take damage but still gained resist quite well with the exploit.
