During T2A the shard would disconnect/kick any player who was inactive for a certain amount of time. I think it was 15 minutes, or so.

I think it took 15 minutes until you got "You will be logged out due to inactivity" message.
if you actually macroed afk during the era you must remember infamous whisper macro: spirit speak, whisper "some text"

In my opinion this is an era accuracy we just dont need haha. It wont change anything, but people putting random speech on their macro, what will spam our cities. But in other hand the goal of the shard is mechanical accuracy, and this seems to be included...

The code for this mechanic needs to be extracted from the original OSI code for precision.

If you are macroing then you aren't inactive. There was never a need to add whispers to your macros.

Would this help cut down on ghosting?

IMO, it wouldn't... it would just make a ghost account need to set a looping macro of something - anything - over and over. Would just be a very small, imperceptible increase in lag on the shard. Would be far more likely to be a nuisance to actual players who step away from the computer for a few minutes to get a cup of coffee, take a dump, etc.

If you had UO Assist, it would prevent you from being kicked due to inactivity. Since we use Razor here, it's pretty much era accurate for having a 3rd party UOA-like program.

Wouldn't solve anything, it would only increase data traffic.

				People would just add
Move: East
Move: West
Loop / 10 minutes

I think the one benefit to players that this may have is that if they get called away from their PC unexpectedly then the system might log them off before they meet an undesired fate.

Hmm, Derricks way of seeing it is quite interesting. After all, everything has a good and a bad side
