If we're going for complete accuracy, the profile used to track account age by months, not days.

I actually don't remember the profile page tracking account age at all.

I don't think it did during T2A, it was added sometime before they released the reward system. I think it is a neat feature to have for obvious reasons nonetheless though.

Pretty sure checking in game account age came with the introduction of veteran rewards in 2001.

If this were to be removed it could simply be placed on myUOSA instead.

Isn't the player number on myUOSA chronological? Not that this tells you join date, but it does give you some sense I guess...

Doesn't it only record days until the 1st month passes?

Guild Chat was only allowed because it was a UI that other programs could accomplish in a very similar manner.

This couldn't be done with a 3rd party utility for account age.

MyUOSA is not a game mechanic where as the paperdoll writing area is one.

Not really trying to argue the feature since personally it doesn't matter to me one bit at the moment. It's a very small minute inaccuracy that doesn't even need to be pressed at the moment. There are much bigger issues that need to be addressed instead.

What do you mean Blackfoot?

Client mechanics can't be fixed/tweaked without forcing everyone to use the same modified client and providing for it to be downloaded.

and this account age is not a client side thing but a server side thing

Accounts are generated and stored by the RunUO code.

The client is simply a GUI to play the game based on its file contents. The server can only alter or manipulate the packet information being sent and requested by the client. The client itself can not physically be altered by the server.

Age of an account is a server side mechanism that the client can recognize. For example, let's say you used a much older client back when it wasn't possible. The server could still keep track of the account age but the client would not be able to recognize this information and place the tracked value with in its designated spot inside of the paperdoll scroll infromation.
