because all the rares that have a similar image as a regular item (here message in a bottle) lose most of their coolness
the point of a rare is to have a unique item by its design first, then its size, then its name..

Doc Faustus has been doing people alot of favors with his free brokering. People tend to get bored with the game itself and find things to do to stick around.
Last i saw in the days of old, time2a, you were mainly a pk. Now you are a rares collector/salesman.
