Play T2A Client Locally

I used to play on UOSA and found it a very nice and well run server. However, I really don't have any interest in PvP and just want to head off on my own undisturbed.

Is there a way I can play the T2A client locally on my machine? As in, run the RunUO server on my machine and log into that?

You can run the RunUO server locally, but it requires a fair bit of setup and customization to actually get a playable server. You'd have to put forth quite a bit of effort to play alone.

You can play on UOSA and not pvp. There is a vast amount of fairly safe lands .. ie towns your houses etc .. I'm a dealer of regs and though I do leave town I don't pvp or really talk to 99% of the shard because if I'm not restocking or buying regs I keep to myself in the unpopulated towns area's. I do have friends and interactions with others I just keep it to a min.

Just think of players as often rude, somewhat smarter npcs.

Thanks Dragon.

I take it then, that the UOSA RunUO server files are not exactly open source?

I have found people sharing their server files for Mondain's Legacy, but we are probably all in agreement that T2A was the best era.

No, out of the box RunUO is barely playable. There's not even signs/doors on the buildings. You get stuck in the ground, etc. No npcs around, no spawn, etc. Everything has to be set up and customized.
