is it era accurate concerning clothing...

Post by Rollercouli »

That doublet's dont stack over armor?
Cause it does seem weird you can wear a robe but not a doublet, doublet/skirt/haprons always were the fashionwin where i come from but here its kinda impossible, so i wondered about that.

Not really adding in anything constructive but I agree. I remember my Guilds Warriors wearing Half Apron and doublet and mages wearing robe and half apron.

We believe the armor layers to be correct, but it's possible the clothing layers are not. Did the doublet stack over all armor? and could you wear a doublet and a robe at the same time?

As far as I know the doublet would only combine with Chainmail and Plate mail.. Ringmail, Leather, and studded Leather was on the same layer as the doublet.

I cannot remember exactly if the doublet would combine with robe but I am somewhat sure that a robe could cover a doublet.

EDIT :Its been years so my thinking could be off.

Yes , the doublet stacked over all 'armor chest pieces.
I dont remember if you could wear a doublet and robe at same time in T2a though, in aos you can but im not sure.

Yes, and you could wear a doublet and a robe at the same time as well.

This has finally got annoying.. You can't wear a skirt over bone legs, you can't wear a tunic over a bone chest. Cloths used to ALWAYS layer over any armor and nothing prevented you from wearing clothes. Pants can be worn under bone legs but kilt or skirt cannot. Please make it so cloths always layer over armor because that is how it was.

doublets and sashes had priority over everything except robes.. while you could wear them at the same time, no doublet or sash ever layered ontop of a robe.
next priority layer was half/full apron.. then skirts/kilts
full apron stopped u from using doublet or sash
all these priorities could be worn over armor
