Pet Healing in Second Age

Post by SteelReserve »

K I can not Recall. I know at one point Casters could Use Greater Heal and keep their pets alive no prob. so the mage Tamer was a staple. If I GM magery, and Eval can I keep my pets healed as Well As if i maxed Vet out? ( and if not is there really that big a gap?)

I know in my later years of playing osi they made it where magery was useless for healing pets. just can not remember if it was in the 2nd age or when Malas came out. Which is when i quit osi. can anyone help me out?

You can use Greater Heal to keep your pet(s) healed, depending on what they are fighting. Veterinary is much cheaper of course, as bandages are far cheaper than reagents, and with high Veterinary skill they will heal more than Greater Heal.

Eval actually has no impact on healing spells; it only impacts direct damage spells.
