Trophy Inflation

As of now the turn in prizes from trophys are becoming increasingly common and easier to obtain. Every other day you see somone asking to turn in 200 points for a unique (including me). Its making the uniques not so unique.
My question is as a community do we want these prizes to be so easily obtained and also to be such an incredibly easy way for players to make money?I believe that the value placed on these trophys is corrupting the authenticity of the game for newer players, it is removing that struggle of becoming 'established'. at 3-4k per trophy now a player could buy a house just by joining a few ctf events.
I offer a suggestion that we dramatically increase the amount of trophys necessary for high end trade ins, and significantly lower the number needed for low end prizes.
Maybe have some turn in prizes more relevant to players to have them turn in the trophys instead of selling them.
Players not interested int he prizes may be interested in an overall leader board for events. ex. there is a double domination event, at the end players have the option of turning in their trophy and getting a point on the overall leaderboard for that event. ect for each event. for rich players and pvperse this may be more valuable than the gold or the pixel prize.
If the amount necessary for a high end prize is increased it may reduce the price of a trophy making them less valuable, so a unique no longer costs 600kish in gold but more along the lines of 5 million gps in trophy gold. people may not be willing to pay that much.
In other words, in the player economy the more players that are collecting gold every day the less valuable that gold becomes, the economy has a natural mechanism to control that, and that is the prices of goods rises with the amount of gold available. there is no such mechanism in place for trophys which is becoming increasingly obvious. as they become more prolific (60ish events per week) and easier to obtain the prices of them should be dropping but they arent, and that is because there is no mechanism to deal with their inflation, controlled through the player economy.
A player with gold can basically collect trophys at will in mass amounts.
Ultimately at this rate, somone will go to trade in for a unique and there simply wont be anyhting left that they want (exageration but makes a point).
So heres the poll
if you have any comments or suggestions please leave below so i can add to the poll options

I agree. I've been thinking about simly increasing the poit cost of the higher end items and leaving the lower end where it is.
Thanks for the poll, the votes and feedback should be interesting.

I think as far as the points system goes, increasing the more rare items to a higher point value would be great. Lowering the, what were called on OSI as "daily rares" to a lower point would also be good. I say triple the amount of points needed to get the unique/more rare items, and maybe cut the lower more non-unique items to lower point values, maybe cut in half or 2/3. I realize this shard is based on authenticity, and daily rares aren't something you get here, not in the sense of the word. Having playing cards, hair/beard restyles, blood, buckets, etc etc... were semi-easy to get on OSI, they should be a little harder to get on here seeing as the economy needs to be stable, which is what the trophy system is for, and to lower the lower ones and raise the higher ones, would be a good idea.
** I COPIED/PASTED THE OLD LIST, AND JUST THROUGH IN SOME NUMBERS FOR POINTS JUST TO USE FOR EXAMPLE **
10 Point Rewards: = ~30-40k gold This should be kept the same, seeing as how you can spend 10 points to make a trophy up to 5 points.
Hue your favorite gold event trophy to any standard ore color but Valorite
15 Point Rewards: = ~45-60k goldI chose 15 because in order to change the color, you need a price to pay to change the color, just like the other one. So sacrificing 15 points, but also not making the level one rares that hard to get.
Level one rare from list
Hue any trophy to Valorite
25 Point Rewards: = ~75-100k gold A little higher rares, so they should cost more, 25 points at the going price is about 75-100k.
Fireworks Wand - You can get this on the variety dealer for 12800gp, so I think this should be moved down in the rares list. Or the price should be jacked up on the dealer, 12800 isn't really a money sink.
Fletchers Tools
Tinkers Toolbox
Level 2 rare
50 Point Rewards: = ~150-200k gold
Your choice of one Ranger Armor piece
Hair Restyle Coupon - Should be moved down, wasn't that rare on OSI, and all it does is make your hair change.
Beard Growth & Sculpting Cream - Same thing as the hair restyle.
Small House plant
100 Point Rewards: =~ 300-400k gold - This should be kept the same, about everything on here was pretty hard to get on OSI in this era, so keeping it at 100 should be good. These weren't uber-rare but they were rare.
Potted Tree
Special Hair Dye
Special Beard Dye
Name Change Deed
Your choice of one Daemon Bone armor piece
5 Charge Special Dye Tub
Level 3 Rare
300 Point Rewards: = ~ 900-1.2million gold - Seeing as how these are even more rare, and a lot of rare hued items, I bumped this up to 300 points. Worth a lot to the buyer, and it should cost more.
Clothing Bless Deed
One Charge Black Dye Tub
Mini-Monster Statuette (makes sounds)
Singing Crystal Ball
Your choice of one Pheonix Armor piece
5 Charge Furniture Dye Tub
Hearth of Home Fire Deed
Unique Painting
Bear Rug (Brown or Polar)
Polar Bear Mask
Hued Tribal Mask
600 Point Rewards: = ~1.8-2.4 million gold - Uniques are usually one of a kind and should be in a sense "priceless", but putting a huge number on this would make it hard to obtain, and/or buy thus appreciating the object more.
Unique Rare (Choices will be presented to those who qualify)
True Black Sandals
THE COLORED TEXT ARE JUST MY COMMENTS AND BASING ON WHAT I KNOW IS WHAT I PUT MY OPINION INTO. I BASED THE COST AMOUNT ON THE GOING PRICES FOR TROPHY'S AT THE MOMENT.
I don't think increasing the amount of trophies given out is a solution, but maybe upping just the points so it takes/costs more. The only reason I don't want more trophies coming out is it can spark more money to be thrown around, farmed, and/or collected and may end up tweaking the economy so that things get more and more expensive. It would be good to try and keep the economy where it's at right now.

i think it should be increased by a LOT. things like CBD and black sandies, special hued items should be EXTREMELY hard to get, cuz they were that rare on t2a (if they even existed)

item bless deeds are accurate if we go up to clean up

Scale statues with the clean-up costs if you can find them... I had no problem finding actual black dye tubs in the 200-300k range in T2A, which scales with trophy costs. I dont know examples for others, but a monster statue SHOULD go for 1mil+

myself, having been with this shard from near the beginning the 50 player peak.
has yet to turn in my trophy pts for anything.
but then again i havent bought any, and i usually play in off peak time.
could you make traded trophies lose half their value.
so if it is traded in with a different account to that it was earned on it is half value?
just a thought???

I have to agree that this is the best idea ive read in this post yet, as I do see Blackfoot's point, the thing that I don't like it the fact that, he is the one posting about cutting down chances for people to get rares, yet I see him at EVERY event buying off everyone's trophies for the turn in...sounds like a monopoly to me...

not proper use of ironic
it actually makes a lot of sense.
making a post about the trophy system AFTER becoming extremly familiar with the economics of the trophy system or making a post BEFORE becoming familiar with the system. you tell me which would have more imput.
would have as much credibility as somone who has never pvped complaining about pvp dynamics.
