Back in the day, OSI's website (update.uo.c0m) had an "In Development" website that informed players about up-coming patches.
It would, perhaps, stop "bug reports" or "era accuracy" threads that point out issues that are already known about, and are being remedied and/or implemented, if the "Patch Notes" included a sticky "Known Issues" subcategory.
(I guess i used to love going online to see what new world OSI had instore for me!)
