Looking for Fishermen that are willing to Log hours Spent vs MIB/Maps Pulled per hour.

I am trying to see what the Average Pull Rate is Per Character.

PM me if interested!

My wife fishes all the time, just pm me and I can give you some info she has already. And I could probably get new too if you want.

I could participate when I've got my fisher account free, and feel like fishing.

I want Derrick to give me some valorite-hued "LOL" trophies that I can give out. Matron, you just earned one.

Here's 10 full hours from my fishers. I am getting 1 cast every 9 secs for 400 per hour. Probably a hair less, since I sometimes have to stop the macros to chase down the occasional fleeing serpents. They fish while I kill the critters.
Format is Tmap/MiB, these are full hours, I put them on a timer. Fishers are 4 tiles away from each other fishing off the same side of the ship. The ship moves laterally 1 tile per cast when the macro isn't reset by server saves.

Hour 1: Salty 0/0, Hook 0/2, Synthia 1/0
Hour 2: Salty 4/0, Hook 0/2, Synthia 0/0
Hour 3: Salty 1/0, Hook 1/0, Synthia 0/0
Hour 4: Salty 0/0, Hook 1/1, Synthia 0/0
Hour 5: Salty 0/1, Hook 0/1, Synthia 1/0
Hour 6: Salty 0/1, Hook 2/1, Synthia 2/0
Hour 7: Salty 0/1, Hook 0/1, Synthia 2/1
Hour 8: Salty 0/0, Hook 2/3, Synthia 1/1
Hour 9: Salty 0/4, Hook 1/0, Synthia 0/0
Hour 10: Salty 0/0, Hook 0/0, Synthia 1/0

Salty 5 Tmaps / 6 MiBs
Hook 7 Tmaps / 11 MiBs
Synthia 8 Tmaps / 2 MiBs

19 MiBs for 30 hours of fishing.

I would venture to guess that this is a pretty accurate average for me. I am certain that I don't average 1 per hour per fisher.

Synthia better start pulling some in soon or she gets turned into a beggar. =)

To Kaivan's point about time between casts... this would be best if you guys figured out the number of casts and analyzed it in terms of MIBs per cast, rather than MIBs per hour.

Ok, I did approx 12000 cast for 19 MiBs 0r 1 Mib per 631.5 casts.

did you know. that if you keep clicking the monster, they will stay right by your boat ... you won't have to chase them down!

Decreased rate certainly has something to do with 8x8 nodes implemented not so long ago.

Derrick?

You forgot to take latency variance and save-times into account. Not to mention the region where you are fishing, and how you are going about it (assuming fish work like mining now). For your "little less" you need to determine exactly how much time you are wasting fighting water elements or unblocking your boat. Until that is done, this is all just a guess.

I don't think that the resource system update changed the spawns of MIBs. To give you an example, in the resource system, a specific 8x8 chunk can give you iron ore, and can also give you colored ore. The server doesn't actually have a specific amount of both iron and the colored ore on hand, it simply has a set number of resources available and will give you either an iron ore or the colored ore, with a certain percent chance to obtain the colored ore (50%). The same can be applied to fishing. For fishing, each 8x8 chunk has a certain number of fish, with a chance to pull up either a map or an MIB in its place (or it should be in its place). This means that as long as there are fish biting in the specific spot that you fished, you have the same chance to pull up an MIB or T-Map from each chunk in the same way that you have a chance to mine up colored ore in place of the iron ore when you mine an 8x8 mining chunk that can produce colored ore that you have the skill to mine.
