Spell Books In Hand & Razor Scavenger

If you have a spell book equipped in your hand does it act like you have GM wrestle? I vaguely remember that being the case back in the day for some reason...
Also, why does the razor scavenger agent work SOMETIMES but not other times even if I clear the cache repeatedly, most of the time it just will never pick gold up off the ground or do anything. Anyone have this problem?

Yes on the spellbook/wrestling thing.
The Scavenger cache is kind of funky. I find you have one chance to pick up something via Scavenger, and clearing the cache doesn't really do anything.

Seriously? Is that now or then?
If that is the case now, wrestling can be dropped on almost any temp.

EGADS. Sorry about this - I misread the question.
The Spellbook counts as empty-handed for the purposes of deciding you use Wrestling to determine hit rates. I thought the "GM" in his question meant that he was assuming he had GM wrestling already.
