UO Second Age

I remember that this system was a part of this Era. It's a good way to get rid of too much junk taking up memory and it was kind of fun trying to collect enough tickets or points (whatever they were) to get the rewards. Only reward I remember for sure was a Furniture Dye Tub, but there were several more.

there already has been a cleanup britannia event a few years ago unfortunately. i doubt it will happen again.

Why not? It was era accurate, and was how things on the un-eraaccurate "trammel silver system" were introdiced into the game world. It gave everyone hsard wide access to those items, instead of only via trammel controled pvp-only non-grief zones. Its 100000000000x more accurate than what happens now....

because it makes people hoard mass amounts of items waiting for it, plus its easy to abuse.

We are going to horde items reguardless.

Another CuB would atleast give that a reason other then taking up HD space.

sorry marm i totally agree that it would be a good idea. If your going for era accurate. the trammel silver is kinda dumb whenver the real way that some of those items were able to be gotten back then is available.

I started in January of 2010, and Item count then was 1.8m.

Is a 3 fold increase not hoarding enough already?

Basically the only people that don't want this to happen again are those who were around for the first one and are still hoarding items from it. I was 2 weeks into the shard when it happened and it was fun. I'm honestly suprised we haven't had another. Our population is so greatly different now and it would be nice for the newer community members to experience it. Its stupid to campaign against it.

IE: I want more NEONZ.

i wasn't around for the first one and i'm not saying i don't want it to happen again. i'm simply stating that derrick said it won't, probably to stop people hoarding items for the express purpose of getting as many tickets as possible if a new CUB was to happen.

Well they are certainly hoarding with or without it.....1.8--->5.6m items is excessive......

I'm honestly not for or against the event.

I guess it would be cool to have another event...but I don't know if it really reduces item count.

Maybe it doesn't but there certainly isn't a system / event that does now (other than the bin).

The reason why people hoard items is because you never know when you can put them to good use. Another CUB could imho be such an opportunity. I'm positive this would bring down the amount of items on the server.

It was the most boring 2 weeks ever. If you didn't have your three accounts macroing fancy shirts you were an idiot. You were lucky if you knew heating stands gave insane amount of points before it was changed
