Footsteps wont play
Footsteps wont play
My game sound works as far as the music goes, but my footsteps, fighting sounds and such wont turn on.
I would never do such a thing as the thing you have said I have done!

Is sound effects off in the UO clients options?
Are you filtering any sounds in the razor general tab?

Is razor necessary for anything other than macroing?

Re: Footsteps wont play
no, not really. It can be helpful with non macro-like macros though.
You might just have a faulty client for some reason. Try reinstalling the client and razor.

Re: Footsteps wont play
I'd double check the filter sound settings in game.
If all else fails, try reinstalling the client?
EDIT: oops, i just saw Matron already said this.
Is this on a winxp machine? If not, what OS? I've heard running UO in Wine on linux or mac os can have glitches like no sound.

Are we talking about the same filter?
[14:17] <UOSAPlayer4056> cr3w guild is a joke. Ran by staff members, multi client pking, this shards a joke and a half.

Yes, that was the same filter. Turned out it was something I had messed with on my computer's speakers. All is well now. Thanks for the replies.
