Trying to get back in after 8 years

Hello everyone!
I have not played UO for a very long time.
I used to play on another free shard with about 50 people back in the day.
I just wanted to post and say hello, and also I wanted to know if there was anyone willing
to help me out and show me the ropes on how to get started and get me on my feet.
I am not asking for money or items, I will figure out how to get that myself, or with your advise.
Just want to know ways of increasing my skills, what I should be leveling up in terms of what I want to be.
I would also like to know about any of the guilds throughout the shard..
I know the basics.. it has just been so long and I am looking for help on getting started.
Thank you very much!
-Jarkheld

Also take a look at the Guides section of the forums, they have a guide for pretty much every skill, macros for gaining those skills, and ways to raise your stats also.

You should talk to C^V, they are great at helping new players as well as leading real dungeon raids and helping eachother farm etc. Plus, they are actually active unlike some other guilds mentioned.

Welcome to UOSA. DG(Dungeon Guards) is also a good guild that helps beginners you might want to look into sometime.

I will get right to that, thank you!
Thank you all for the quick responses.
My old shard was Journey's End.
