What would you say is the best place for a private small house (name the island or place)?

How about an L-Shape house?

I'm just curious since I am still fairly new to the UO map.

For a shop, any moongate or bank. For a secluded residence, islands.

Which island would you say? I remember once seeing this one little island that would only fit 1 house, but I don't recall the name of it.

I know the island, don't know the name. A house is placed and I was told that the owner who doesn't use it wont sell for under 1 mil.

The most desirable are non jungle non dagger island houses

What's the island close to?

Chances are if it is a specific spot you want it probably already has a house on it, if it is that unique.

The housing market is good here tho, people constantly come and go from the server, or upgrade houses.

Pay attention to the trade forums housing section and after a couple of weeks/months while you are building characters and amassing wealth you will see a lot of nice houses for sell at reasonable, just slightly over deed, prices.

I'm just curious because I want to watch the spot to see if the house falls or if it goes for sale.

I know there's a t map on it. Beyond that I can't tell ya too much.

justice island is a one house island. are there others?

The small island with one small house plot? isn't that one of those near Trinsic? I'm thinking Blanche Island, but I'm not sure.

id say the best overall places for houses are very close to unpopular towns banks
especially if you are fairly new
just south of minoc would be good, there are lots of trees/water/low level spawn and really clseo to guard lines
this could be a very good place to start out
or anywhere close to a moongate

Islands are bad because if someone knows you live there, its easy to find you. The most private houses are way out of the way, in the middle of the jungle on Avatar Island. Roadkill owns the best house on the server. I even offered him 12 million for it once and he wont budge.

When I started out, my uncle co-owned me to a small on Ocllo island, about one screen from town.

Imo, that's the best place to live if you're starting out here.

There's almost no foot traffic and the spawn is low level, so it's good for hunting if you're new.

Good lord! 12mil for a house? Where the heck is that?

Can't seem to find an Avatar Island. I'm looking on the UO Automap.

Isle of the Avatar aka 'Fire Isle'. Hythloth etc.
