Suicide/Chum boxes/tinker traps...the many uses thereof

Besides detering thieves from stealing from either you or your home, and trying to trick new players into death, what reasons do you carry GM tinker trapped boxes?

Do you use them to suicide before a ban if you are caught between skill delays or fear you may not get the recall in time?
To rid of a perma-grey status?
To grief a thief who stole from you and accidentally punched you?

What are some of the reasons you carry "Chum-boxes?"
Do you have any other uses?

Because I'm a russian special forces agent and we have to suicide in case of capture

I'm HIV+ and get kicks from spreading my virus. Here's my method. I collect jars and jars my fluids (Blood, semen, fecal matter, you name it I'll throw it in) When i've got 25 jars (about a foot high, half a foot diameter) I load them into the box and take it to a public place where I open it. Spreading my disease.
