UO Second Age

My red has a bounty. But any time i try to turn in his head i get the message from a guard that "the Head was taken before the bounty was posted" even though it was not. Is this is an error or is it because i am trying to turn in my own characters head. Any ideas?

currently the red char must be 5+ short murders to claim a bounty.

im not sure if this has been changed or not but i know this was the case when the long term counts came into play..

We're still looking for suggestions on how to fix the bounty system.

sounds like a good way to prevent players from taking their own head without any stat loss imo
