Midives' Mining

Finally feeling truly settled and having mined tens of thousands of ingots for my own use, I've decided to start offering various ores to the public. My inventory, available in 250-ingot increments, is listed below. If you would like to order, please contact me via PM.

During the off-season, my mining operations shift from fairly robust to more limited. As a result, restocks will tend to be smaller and/or less frequent. I may be able to take smaller-scale, private orders on an intermittent, day-to-day basis. Please PM me to see if my schedule will allow me time to fulfill your off-season order. Thank you!

are you high? these prices are fucking insane, even from a miners perspective.

Back when I played OSI on Lake Superior it wasn't hard to find someone willing to pay 8g per Iron ingot or more. Mining is boring Repetitive and Mind Numbing. Personally I would never sell Iron for under 8 an ingot, but no ones willing to pay that much, so that's why I don't sell Ingots.

this isnt lake superior and thats why you sell at a reasonable price if you expect to ever sell or make money.

I am well aware of where I'm playing. and I'm not Defending his Prices. I was just stating Mining is a poor way to make gold here in general, although just adding it wasn't too bad of a way to make gold back in the OSI days when people had Dialup.

I double-checked my scratch paper and re-ran the numbers, and, lo and behold, I discovered that I forgot to divide one number in my formula relating to long-run smelt rates. With that adjustment and another minor tweak, I have updated the per ingot pricing.

At the end of the day, the correct price for an ingot is precisely how much the buyer is willing to pay and the seller is willing to accept. There are no right or wrong prices, only a mutually agreed price between buyer and seller.
