UO Second Age

Hi all, a friend put me onto this site and it looks great. i hope to download the client and get going tonight/tomorrow.

What are the boat rules on this shard?

I read below that there is item decay on boats but it is weight based so things like big piles of ore will take a while.

Does the hold have a weight limit? 400 stones? Is the hold 100% secure?

Can items on the deck be looted or reached with bugs? like the telekenisis spell on ore?

Do you need your key on you to direct the boat?

Can you recall to the boat by using the key as a rune?

I remember a small time when you could put forges on boats. (bc i owned one...) does that work?

Items no longer decay on the decks of boats

The hold does have a wieght limit, and is not secure, if a person can get on the boat, they can access the hold

Items on the decks can be reached if they are too close to the edge, but telekinesis only opens containers, it does not help you to actually pick things up that are out of reach

You do not need the key to drive the boat

You may recall off the key to the boat as long as the recall location, one tile aft of the mast, is free

You can't place forges on boats

To clarify on the hold... It is 100% secure from people outside of the boat??

Anyone on the boat could always open the hold but i do remember various bugs to loot the hold of a boat from time to time... That is more of what i was asking. Sounds like those arnt here!

Aye, you can't open the hold unless you're standing within the boat
