You broke your axe

Now, I haven't played UO for years, and I don't know that I did too much lumber jacking in the t2a era, but I don't recall ever breaking so many damn axes. I recall gming lumber when it gave bonus damage to axes, and I'd use a double axe to chop all the time. I threw one on my UOSA lumberjack and collected about 100 logs before the thing broke. I've been using battle axes and can get about 500 logs before it's toast. My newbie hatchet lasted a long time, but everything else seems next to useless.
What gives? My bad memory, or is this not right?

Just bad memory i'm afraid.
Using GM tinker made hatchets is your best bet i think.

I acknowledged that when I said...

Your reading fails, actually, and your tact even more so.

Actually, it can't be said that ANY (available) template was not T2A. Especially because back then everyone was still experimenting with what went well together (my first char I tried to make a miner/blacksmith/warrior). So, yea, your memory fail.
