Is this going to be fixed soon? It's really putting a damper on actually using an archer..

Firing time is just so slow, mages swing halberds faster than we can shoot.

I have noticed an extremely long delay between shots with the heavy x-bow if you "re-select" a target. It feels like the timer resets for reasons other than actually firing a shot.

I use my archer during CTF and sometimes there are multiple targets. If i select one, and he runs out of range, and i select another, it seems like the timer resets - even if no shots are fired at all. I can stand there in a target-rich environment for 15 seconds without firing a single shot.

There should be a massive delay, I get that. But if you wait the 6-7 seconds, you should be able to fire a shot wherever and whenver you want. Maybe i'm hallucinating, but that's what i've noticed.

The combat timer does not save your swing/shots when it elapses.

After a quick code check to verify this was indeed fixed, I set up a quick and easy test on Test center with two orcs. I attacked one, and then the other alternating quite fast, and there was no noticeable change in my bow fire rate.

If the target does run out of range, and your bow becomes ready to fire before you attack the other target though, you will need to wait out the cycle.

In response to the fist post, the short answer is no; there's no indication that I'm aware of that there is anything improper with the current archery mechanics.
