Terathan Keep Needs Several Fixes [etc]

First of all on OSI during t2a you could recall anywhere inside of terathan keep. Here you are not allowed to recall anywhere outside the area between the swamp and the balron room. This needs to be fixed. Proof is here from our own data base.

Secondly the star room never had a gate in it on OSI. The other day I was fighting someone and I chased them in there and sure enough there is a gate that only blues can use... This is not era accurate. Proof can be provided in several ways... This is a wedding from OSI. Also Kaivan provided me witha picture that needs to be blow up.

Fourth and very important [Thanks to Blackfoot] I left this out:
Terathan Warriors dropped a magic weapon every time anywhere from the most basic durable katana to the supremely accurate vanquishing katana. This is the reason terathan keep ontop and inside was always bustling with players. It was an amazing spot to hunt. It always had thieves, tamers, tons of dexers, mages, pks etc. Id love to see this here and the magic weapons may bring more action.
Finally the blood elemental death animation is currently inaccurate. Check the last picture from this thread.

Thanks for your time.. Please help get the things with Terathan Keep rolling at least. Because these are major issues.

virtue village had there own campfire area!
i will also add terathan warriors dropped a magic weapon every time! it was packed with magic item farmers back in the day

A person could argue that just because he casted recall in the picture it doesnt necessarily mean it was still possible since the old block happened when physically casting the spell on the rune(if im not mistaken?). However, the rest of the list seems pretty solid and to add a side note to those that dont pay no mind the wyrms are wyverns in the pic not Anicent Wyrms. I still think Ancient Wyrms had a few different hues too though.

yeah I was about to say something about the recall spell and the fact that there are no white ancient or neon wyrms on wyvern island
Are you sure that moongates didn't phase in and out of the star room? That would be interesting. Especially if it had a red phase for Buc's.

I feel like the gate in the Star Room is similar to the hole on the Brit Bank roof, and the Help --> Stuck function. In the sense that they're necessary to help ensure staff time is spent on other things besides answering a bunch of "help im stuck" pages.
What do wyvern colors have to do with ancient wyrm colors? I didn't realize there were desert ostards on wyvern island though, that's cool.

if you look at the picture of the wedding in the star room, and go to the bottom is says the photos date is Fri November 21, 2003. Then if you go to the right a few pictures, there starts to be NEA housing. Log cabins, and large marbles?

That picture was posted in 2003, but is a t2a picture. I also linked another picture that is CLEARLY era accurate and Kaivan has the link to more from that album.. I just need for him to get on as we were working on this last night.. On the recall note... The recalling is debateable faust because I do remember being able to recall down in that hall... I can't remember if you could recall on the west side of the keep. Also there is PROOF on several sites including stratics that the entrance to the Star Room is not era accurate here. On OSI you had to double clicka brazier outside that would bring you there.

I was just at Tera Keep a few days ago and every tera warrior I killed dropped a magic item. Most of it was crap but I got one power weapon.

To offer some additional information on the moongate in the star room, the website with the tiny screenshot can be found
here (scroll down to find the picture). This picture can be dated to sometime after December 2001 because of the existence of the menu bar for the 2D client. The Menu bar was first added as part of
this patch.
Second, the screenshots of the wedding are dated sometime between April 2000 and March 2001. This is provable on 2 points. One, the cursor is gold, which only occurred when in Trammel. Two, the screenshots feature Counselors which were terminated from the OSI support program in
early 2001.

Ahh I see this now you are correct. There still wasnt a moongate there on the feluca side....

So the star room gate was not necessary as you were able to recall from within the deep levels of Terra? Or was it later during Trammel?

I can't really say one way or the other becuase I simply don't remember. I just know there was a spot where recalling was impossible and pretty sure it was close to the Balron spawn. However, the way it works on UOSA currently there is no recollection on my part for its accuracy.
The way you got up into the Star Room was through a brazer in the middle of that pit room area. I'm pretty sure there was no moongate up there but there may or may not have been a way to get back down to the spot. I'm pretty sure the moongate is most definitely not era accurate.

I cannot remember all the recall spots either, but I agree with Faust that there was definitely a few places where you could not recall. I think as you headed West toward the star room you could not recall and now I remember once you went down the southern hall and made it into the swamps where dragons spawned I am pretty sure you may not have been able to recall. There was definitely no gate, and the gate has no effect on GMS needing to help players. I cannot tell you how many times I died on OSI at Tera Keep and had to run all the way to Papua and all the way back... The gate needs to go!
