You are probably overloaded with wood and can't move because you have no stamina.
Wow.

Sounds like packet loss, which is worse than simply having a high ping. Probably a problem with comcast.

yeah you should contact comcast and see if they can fix it. If they give you some crap about the servers you are connecting to, change providers. Its obviously not the UOSA server since it happens with other games. Maybe your router or modem. Firewall settings? Shouldn't be firewall if your ping is jumping up and down. I was using vent a few years ago talking with someone about the latency I was experiencing in my online gaming. It sounded like he was talking for a short period of time then would pause and continue talking. He said I sounded the same way, as if something was running in the background stealing bandwidth on regular intervals. Ran some anti-virus software (cant remember which) that detected and dealt with several threats. After that, I had no more latency issues and Vent was working fine. Maybe you may be experiencing something of that sort. Good luck with it.

No not at all. If you can't keep up during chase, they will get away. And if you can't run, you are dead.

i have 6 gigs of ram and about 2 to 4 gigs of virtual ram on xp pro 64bit.
Those are some nice specs but you really need a little more to run this game right. I suggest more video ram.
Sounds like you're hardwired so I won't mention wireless issues. I had two similar experiences (also ComcastiK customer) Both caused ridiculous lag from packet loss. First time the dog chewed it and punctured the insulation. I wrapped it in tinfoil and plastic bag. It fixed it until Comcastick could see fit to make it out my way and do it right. Second time was Comcast hardware itself. There was @ 3 ft of corrosion on my service drop, and a bad splitter. Quick call got the boys from Comcast out there.
good luck
