NPCs in T2A UO had olde English names, the culturally diverse names brought in during the ninja patch and samurai update were not part of T2A.
I ran into an NPC healer called Anwar. The origins of the name Anwar are:

NPC names are an important part of accuracy and I would like to see this addressed

The name Anwar exists in a file on the demo called namestable.dat. This file contains all the known names that were used on OSI servers during mid-1998. While this list is far too large to put here, if you would like, you can download a copy of the demo and comb through the list and place any names that you don't see on the list that are appearing on the server.

Disguise kits can be used to generate names from this list as well. FYI, you can use a kit to generate the name "Derrick" which is otherwise unavailable for character creation.

Aye, the names are all right out of OSI, and the list is quite long.
As far as name orgins, I read somewhere that all the OSI employees had their names in this list as well.
