UO Second Age

I come from the first part of the second age era, and I know a lot of things were patched and removed for various reasons (as I'm sure will be referenced in replies...)....but this I plead for sanity's sake (if not just for memory's sake)...

Bring back boots of speed and mountable dragon-folk...no one would need trammel because there'd always be something to do and less people will be recalling every...(edited)...place.

If that makes me an old timer that lived in a Sosaria long forgotten then call me Rumpelstiltskin.

wtf? I started when T2A released and I never seen any boots of speed or ridable dragons...Klavis is looney man. Even his in game character is missing some screws up top

FYI Ostards / frenzied was the replacement for boots of speed. They nixed the boots and I don't know if they were there in the first age.

I don't recall anything about boots of speed, but are you talking about the stupid swamp dragon rideable and giant beetles? Those were after t2a...

The boots of speed came with T2A release? I don't remember ever seeing any of these on anyone or hearing of them. How long before they nixed them? And wouldn't this make the grandfathered boots a very valuable rare? I've never heard of these either or seen them advertised for sale. Or did they all get erased?

Not saying you are wrong in your statements. Or claiming that I know more about it than you. Just stating that I've never heard of these.

What about the ridable dragons? I know they are a possibility. Lots of other servers have them. But I never saw any of these on Sonoma, ever. Were these nixed too before I ever encountered any?

As far as I know, you can still ride the swamp dragons on OSI, same as the beetles. They were never "nixed". They've added a bunch of rideables throughout the various patches, including some crazy fox looking thing. Can't recall the name and too lazy to search it.

He was talking about during T2A. I took it that way anyway. The fox things are called Cu Sidhe's, however you spell it. And they look stupid. So do the swamp dragons, Kirins, ridgebacks, etc. I did like the beetles tho. They were awesome for resource gatherers. But they too looked dumb and I would rather not see them here as I love the era accuracy.

I have heard of boots of speed on other player run shards. It's also called speed hacking.
