Scam vendor in Yew

I bought a full spell book and a rune book that was supposed to be full of all the town bank runes. They were both empty and weren't cheap. These kinds of scams go after new players and should be brought to heel. It's the "cr3w" vendor house in the yew vendor mall. I am disappointed to say the least

This isn't news. This is a well-known scammer location.
Always check spellbooks before you buy them by IDing them 1st.

I think targeting ignorant new players with stuff like this at the Yew vendor mall is a community issue and should be dealt with.

Nothing can really be done about it aside from spreading the word. Read the forums...this particular house has been outed as a scammer about a dozen times.

For future reference, you can use item Id to determine the number of spells in a spellbook before you buy. The majority of them are unfortunately going to be empty. As far as I know there's no way to tell what's in a runebook until you buy it, so I'd avoid buying them off vendors completely.

fucking over newbies time spent on the game is like going into someones xbox and deleting their saved games
sure it's just a stupid game but it's also a douchebag thing to do
what guild is associated with that vendor house on the Northeast Corner of yew bank? I am going to do my darndest to keep people from shopping there.

Stick with kryptonical or $$$ or roadkills for anything you need. Really any advertised in the forum vendor will do u right

Just ghost it. When you aren't playing UO log a ghost in and stand there visible walking back and forth and name yourself "Scam Vendor"
Problem solved.

The other day someone had some rats outside named Scam Vendors - thought that was pretty sharp lol.

cA are behind this ScamHouse. Just pay attention there is a player named Blake that is always at the house, in and out. Now when you check the house sign prior to him entering the house it will be slightly worn and when he enters the house the sign will read like brand new, thus he is a friend of this house a co owner or owner of this house. Now if you search for this player in myuosa.com even though his profile is private it still shows his guild tag of cA.
p.s. He was also the ONLY blake that was online when pic was taken, and was inside the house as the pic was taken so I am sure its the right blake.
