How to not get scammed with tinker boxes?

I have posted in the trade post section an offer to buy 100 trapped boxes.
When I'm doing this transaction, how do I know that he's not just giving me 100 empty, normal boxes? I'm hesitant to accept such a large number of items I can't verify to be what they are said they are.

How will the broker know its trapped?
How will I know it's trapped after the first of many small trades? I can't just open the first 10 he gives me; whether or not they're trapped they won't be once I double click them.
Detect hidden...I had no idea this could be used. Can I do it in the trade window? What will be my sign that they're trapped?

Not sure if you can detect hidden within a trade window, but you could probably do something along the lines of setting the boxes down in a house, snoop the guy so he can't switch-a-roo them, then detect hidden them once for the trade. The obvious drawback to this is that you're obviously using the trapped boxes for such detect hidden gains (?) and you'd be gaining off them through the trade. Although, I'm also not sure of this, but can't you just use detect hidden on magically trapped boxes?

could lock a small house (the seller ) loaded with them add the cost of 1 small deed to the price. Buyer approaches detects (sees 1x "Trapped " in red fly up x how ever many trapped boxes they are in his journal. Then the Seller transfer house to broker / broker takes buyers money and transfers the small to the buyer.

Just thought I'd add that trapped boxes can't be traded using the trade window.

Even if you could detect hidden on them, couldn't they just be loaded with the magic trap spell?
Could alwys have the broker test a few boxes at random on an alt to see if they explode kill.

I thought Magic Trap said "[trapped]" in a different color, like white. Could be completely wrong.
Regardless, scams via posts on the Trade Forum can, allegedly, result in a ban from the forum.
I'd go with the house deed idea above. You can macro up Detect Hidden to 50.1 at the bank in a short amount of time. And actually, after about 4 minutes next to a house loaded with that many boxes, you'll have it GMed. And you'll see 100 lines of text that say in red, "[trapped]"
