UO Second Age

Is there a specific area for Harpies? My Bowyer need sthe feathers. I've searched and found nothing like this in the Wiki or on the forum.

First level in Covetous.

Any spawn (multiple Harpies) location outside of a dungeon?

overworld spawn is pretty weak for the most part. can't think of a concentration of harpies in the overworld.

covetous 2 before the elder gazers has harpies, and that is a little less frequented by pks. with that said, any pks that read this may now check, looking for you. lol

Cyclops Valley has a fair amount of harpies, however, you might find yourself running from Titans, Cyclops and Wyverns while trying to kill harpies.

Second level of covetous has quite a large spawn of harpies and you will pretty much never see a PK there. First level is common since it's easy to get to for nubs and PKs will patrol it.

PKs killing noobs in lvl 1 areas of dungeons are pretty pathetic and kill new player population but they are out there. Set up a recall macro just incase.

The amount of harpies and trash spawn on level 2 could be overwhelming for a new player, though there is less chance of a pk there.

If you stay on level 1, draw the harpies close to a wall so that a PK will have to run around the corner to target you. Should give you time to recall out. In the middle of the room you won't see them coming until they are on top of you (like a fat chick when you've been drinking).
