UO Second Age

Is there anything currently being done about the issues with the lag? I'm getting really bad spikes at times, which are completely random. Last night the server lagged up for a good minute or two, but it only appeared to bother half the players; the other half were fine.

Today i was experiencing some random lag spikes, but they didn't occur that often. well, i headed to destard, killed the first guy i saw there, then was fighting another with a drake on my tail. No biggie eh? well, it is when you lag up for 15 seconds and come back dead. having died to a drake and another guy was quite annoying haha, karma .

Speaking with some other players, I'm not the only one having this problem lately. Is it a known issue that's being looked into?

Yea, I should be getting around 100 but I've been spiking up to 200+ all day.

hehe normally i'd suck it up, but losing a +20 halb of power to a lag spike is a little annoying,

Where are you located? I'm up in Connecticut.

When it's an issue that isn't global it's usually somewhere outside of the datacenter, not the shard itself, it's pretty hard to fix it. Last night I got the lag bad too, but it was only about 10% of us that noticed it and/or got dropped. Likely a router in the vicinty of the shards location.

I've been experiencing more lag the past 2-3 weeks. I blame it on all the porn sites out there.
