UO Second Age

Is it possible to still get them when creating new characters with tinkering (Are they era accurate?) ? I had one for my tower but pulled the dumbest move ever; Came home after a night out, decided to log on to UO to refresh my tower and noticed that I still had the original name for it. In a drunken stupor I accidently pressed change house keys instead of change house name (I know they are nowhere near each other but it was late and I had been drinking) and the newbie key i had for it is now useless.

I can assure you that the one who called himself Wise and myself are not the same person as I have seen him around on IRC when I first joined the server. I might have had one conversation with him but that is about it. I can pretend to be him if people miss him and it would make them happy.

At one time, cA folks were selling newbied keys as rares. I bought 3 of them. I then went to sell them and they started a "they aren't rare, you can still make them" campaign.

So by that ordeal alone, I'm going to assume that yes you can make them.

At the time of my sale (of newbie keys), they were no longer obtainable to the best of the entire uosa communities knowledge, including myself. I bet you have purchased clothing bless deeds before a certain notorious patch deemed them worthless too. Would you call everyone who sold such an item a scammer?
