Because,
a. vanq in the bank is fun to say
b. events

All of my legacy characters are currently holding a +25 vanq of their preferred weapon. By my count, this includes a bow, a heavy crossbow, a war axe, a war hammer, a kryss, a katana, a halberd and a shepherd's crook.

Because carrying vanqs or any magic hallu is cheating. Gm wraps and red pots 4 lyfe!

Oh and it also make me rage more when I die with a good hally.

so we've got that and revenge. something you're not thinking about, OP. and if you're solo pking and REALLY don't want fools getting away, you use a nice tactics power or vanq hally to increase your chances. but my fav reasons for hoarding good hallies has to be revenge. even if you're just slightly better than someone, you will almost surely kill them (if they're willing to fight you) if you have a hally that is 2-3x good as theirs. it'll cancel out a lot of their heal potions and miniheals.

I pvp almost exclusively with vanqs or powers that have fireball/lightning charges.

The people who bank their +25 equipment are usually scared of pvp death and the risk of losing their investment. I hate killing people only to loot GM armor and weaps (feels like a waste of time and regs/pots), but could imagine the reaction to someone killing me and taking my +25 vanq and full invul set.

I use all my magic hallies/bards until they're gone! Then I use GM hallies till I find more, lol.

I'll fight a 3v1 while riding a pure mare and decked with the best lootz. Done it before and have lost 2 mares that way = )

It is just a game after all, but I only break out the big vanqs when I'm feeling like a beast and take it to the field, or feeling like a puss and take it to a Tram-event.

For the record, I've lost a +25 Silver Vanq Hally to a Para-gank at the Lich Lords (yeah, I'm a newb, I get it). I raged a little bit and a guildie felt bad for me I guess, and they gave me a replacement.

I have a silver +25 vanquished katana with 23 charges of ghouls touch.

I don't use it cause its a collectible to me and was a gift from a friend

Since the shard's pvp encourages running and spamming mini heal, I use a plus 25 vanq, purple pots, and flamestrike. It works except when flamestrike does 11 damage.

You'll catch me on the field with anything from a 20p to 25v hally, come and get it...
