I stopped gaining in Alchemy all togehter, HELP! please.

OK I need some help or advice. My alchemist is at 65, 64 real. I have made about 5 kegs of Poison with no skill gains. I bought 2k in nightshade and and started to make Greater poison. Even though I fail to make Greater poison more times than not I went through the whole 2k still without any skill gains. All of my skills are turned down except for Alchemy and Inscription, Ive checked and double checked. Should I try to make another type of potion other than poison or am I doomed to not have an alchemist? If anybody could help me out I will greatly appreciate it. Thanks

Im still stuck at 64 real on alchemy. Burn through 1k nightshade this morning no gains. making Poison. My poisoning skill however is still gaining. Whats going on here?

I was just making regular poison, I switch to making explosion and I started to gain like crazy. So I guess thats problem solved.
