The above link is to an excel spreadsheet that contains 99 mare entries. The information will allow anyone to tame mares just as well as I did. Assuming you use tracking for 2 bridges and search mainly east of the bridges but also north and very seldom south (mainly from wandering I assume). Oasis and Cyclops Valley have really small spawn area and fairly small wandering distance. I've never seen a mare at oasis anywhere but on the south east side. And at Cyclops Valley it always spawns in the Northwest small green area shaped like a 'U' around a peninsula of mountain.

I tamed well over my goal of 100 nightmares and now I'm done. A good portion of those tames are recorded in this document as well as some contributions from other tamers. The times listed are the time that each mare was successfully tamed and the actual spawn time will have varied from one minute up to perhaps as much as a couple hours in extremely rare cases.

The respawn times as I believe them to be are:

2Bridges: 12 - 24 hours
Oasis: 12 - 24 hours
Cyclops valley: >12 hours **

**Cyclops Valley is odd. It seems to be very random to me, due to the fact that I have personally RPV'd from server up to server down without seeing one spawn there, but I also have seen two in one day.

Its just a large file that says "ICE WHITE IS NEA" over and over.

To download it, click on the large blue 'download now!' button, then you have to wait for a timer to expire 20 seconds and then the download link appears.

I've tamed my fair share of nightmares in the day, also. Hundreds of the critters... I give ya's this.



Note: Areas in RED with the Nightmare Graphic are where I have tamed nightmares.

Just curious, how did you get my tamers (Sphincter) location and time? lol I dont remember telling anyone about it?

To my knowledge only 3 mares will spawn in a 24 hour period (Correct me if I'm wrong, I've been wrong before and it won't hurt my feelings!)

Question, when tracking mares, are they under the monster or the animal icon?

You're wrong.

And they show up under the animal Icon.

Taming nightmares is a lucrative business for a southern gentlemen to engage in. This map is most helpful along with the other posts.

Radical Larry may broaden his business dealings.

Are these getting heavily camped by ghosts and such?
