When is the GF stuff going to start breaking?

Wasn't this supposed to happen sometime? I don't remember people having grandfathered unbreakable trammel gear in this era.. :-/
In the patch it was said that it would be dealt with. When?

* All Newbied and Blessed clothing has had it's durability restored. Going forward all noobie and blessed clothing will lose durability and be destroyed like any other clothing.
* All previously blessed clothing is grandfathered for now as non-destroyable.
* This effectively corrects a broken mechanic without violation of many previous statements both public and private by the administration that blessed items cannot be destroyed. I don't expect that this will end the debate on the destroy-ability of these grandfathered items, but this change is offered for now as at least a first step in correcting this previously inaccurate mechanic.

like derrick have nothing better to do. there is always something more important to do. why should he care about the same ppl over and over who just wanna troll hued mask owner. 95% blessed items are not gf but you have to cry about the other 5%...
iam not going to post again here. the result would be clear, and you should realize that derrick knows what your purpose is. iam so tired of you guys

Clearly with the specific wording Derrick used the door was left open to correct this lingering inaccuracy. He is indeed a busy man, that's why threads like this help remind him.

Here we go again.
In all honesty, I don't understand why it's such a big deal if the veterans get to keep their hard earned blessed items. It doesnt give you any advantage over anyone else.

The half a dozen people who are gonna cry bloody murder when this happens are gonna have to get used to the idea. You've had plenty of time to mentally prepare for it. The patch note were clearly written so that it will be fully corrected at some point. When? We don't know, but it certainly seems that it will happen. But instead of mentally preparing for it a market for 'grandfathered' items took off. Pity the poor suckers who paid a ridiculous amount for such an item when most of us knew this was coming.

but what you guys fail to understand is (you guys that want people to lose things that they've probably owned before you ever knew of the server to begin with) is, Derrick told us in the beginning, when spending trophy points on masks and sandals is that they are unbreakable, and like the great Game master that he is, has held on to his promise. Why would he go back on his word, just to please the obvious trolling. Nobody and I repeat, nobody would have wasted their trophy points on Masks or sandals from the turn in system if they knew that they were just going to be destroyed, can't speak for everyone, but logically that holds true. I would have much rather invested in an array of monster statues etc. especially if i knew a group of whiny new generation UOSA players were gonna cry until they made the creator of the server go back on his word, about something that really isn't gamebreaking at all.

It's a bit of an ego check. Derrick run's the show, and his stated goal is accuracy, seemingly at all costs. The people who would pitch a fit about it are many of the same group which pushes the hardest for accuracy in other areas.
I sympathize, however, and would likely be similarly upset. Perhaps some kind of compensation should be awarded for the time and effort in amassing the objects in question?

when are u guys going to cry for ppls neon hair to turn to a regular color ?
also everyone had there chance to bless something on christmas i personally paid 300 silver like alot of ppl to bless my mask and sandels

Nobody is trying to take away your colored masks, sandals, or neons. Only to convert them to their era accurate properties. Era accuracy is why most people play here.
